I just want to spend some time in purgatory. 10 episodes? 6? 4? 4 episodes wouldn’t be too bad would it? Show Dean and Cas surviving the monster gauntlet and Sam surviving on earth without Dean but not falling apart this time. Cover some new territory, do something different. Don’t you want to write new stories? Oh you don’t. There’s going to be another time shift. The boys will be reunited relatively quickly. So like the first episodes of season 4 and season 6…again. Okay, I guess. I mean if you feel like a stagnant rehashed premise is the way to start the eighth season who am I to argue. Can we spend any time in purgatory? 1 episode? 1 episode seems reasonable. You aren’t going to have Dean pop up right in the cold open of the season 8 premiere are you? Oh, you probably are. Okay.
